I've always been a fan of Virtual Reality ever since I saw the Lawn Mower Man when I was little. Over the past couple of years I've managed to pull together some really decent high-end equipment from constantly scouring auctions and what not.
Well I REALLY lucked out this time..as I managed pull this SUPER highend N-Vision Datavisor 80 HMD off of ebay for just $250! Running at 1280x1024 and offering a HUGE 120 FOV this badboy ain't no joke! Oh and get this... Original Price Tag: A cool $90K...
YES...I said Ninety Thousand dollars!! OMG! This is like a dream toy come true for me!!! :) :)
I've had some previous experience with N-Vision equipment in the past and have a card capable of feeding it natively already on the way so it should be up and running soon. There are also some comestic touch-ups and re-alignment/calibrations that I want to do so, etc. so I'll post more pics and details as I make progress.
